February 10, 2017
Gate City Bank was honored to be recognized as a Champion of Affordable Housing at the 26th Statewide Housing Conference presented by the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA).
NDHFA’s lender awards are based on promotion of NDHFA’s homeownership programs and participation in locally sponsored affordable housing projects and events. In 2016, Gate City Bank originated 173 loans equaling more than $29 million.
“The Champion awards recognize and celebrate the work of individuals, non-profit organizations, public agencies, and private sector businesses that make exceptional affordable housing contributions in North Dakota.” said Jolene Kline, NDHFA executive director.
“As the number one mortgage lender in North Dakota we are proud to be able to partner with NDHFA to provide affordable housing to our neighbors,” said Kevin J. Hanson, Executive Vice President-Director of Lending at Gate City Bank.
Since 1995, when the NDHFA began recognizing its housing partners with the Champion of Affordable Housing Awards, Gate City Bank has received the award a total of eleven times – in 1995, 1996, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2007, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2016.
