FARGO, ND – Steve Swiontek, Chairman, President & CEO of Gate City Bank, has received the inaugural 'Leaders & Legacies' award from Prairie Business magazine. The honor recognizes the region’s most influential and innovative corporate executives whose high-level achievements make them stand out.
“When we first announced our intention to add this new recognition category, we knew that our first class likely would be exceptional. We were right," said Korrie Wenzel, publisher of Prairie Business magazine. "We live in a part of the world where people aren't always excited to tout their accomplishments, but that’s where Prairie Business comes in. There are so many great companies in this region whose success can be traced to their innovative leaders who have impacted business in the Dakotas and Minnesota. We're proud to be able to tell the stories of these kinds of leaders.”
Swiontek will receive the award at Prairie Business’ awards ceremony in Fargo on May 16, and will be profiled in the magazine’s July issue. The 2019 Leaders & Legacies awards will be the first in what will become an annual Prairie Business tradition.
