Financial Planning

Our Financial Planners follow a six-step process to guide you through the process of setting and addressing, pursuing, and working toward your financial goals.

  1. Establish a Relationship with a Gate City Financial Planning Professional

Meet with a LPL Financial Planner to discuss financial planning services.

  2. Gather Data and Develop Financial Goals

Gather necessary documents to help assess your current financial situation. Personal and financial goals, including timeframes and comfort level when it comes to financial risks, will be discussed.

  3. Analyze and Evaluate Financial Status

Review all aspects of your situation and determine what you need to do to meet your goals. Your assets, liabilities and cash flow, current insurance coverage, investments, or tax strategies may be analyzed.

  4. Review Financial Planners Recommendations

Review financial recommendation by financial planner. Rationale will be provided to make informed decisions. Discuss any concerns and revise recommendations, if necessary.

  5. Development and Implementation of your Financial Plan

Discuss how the recommendations will be carried out. The Financial Planner may carry out the recommendations or serve as your coach to coordinate the process with you.

  6. Annual Review

Determine who will monitor your plan, annually review, and adjust recommendations as your goals, timeframes, or circumstances change.
