On September 24, we launched an all new Online & Mobile Banking experience with new features and enhanced security. In addition to the Online & Mobile Banking makeover, we changed our current web address (gatecitybank.com) to a new, more secure website address (gatecity.bank). Additional information about the Online & Mobile Banking makeover, including a list of Frequently Asked Questions, can be found below.

What to Expect:

The first time you log into the new Online & Mobile Banking, you will be taken through the following steps for security purposes.

  1. Log In: Log into Online or Mobile Banking by entering your existing User ID and Password. For desktop, use the 'Online Banking Login' on gatecity.bank. To log in using mobile banking, download the new mobile app.
  2. User Verification: Enter your User ID, First Name and Last Name.
  3. Identity Verification: Verify your device with a one-time confirmation code.
  4. Re-establish Password: Set a new password. Your previous password can be used if it meets the requirements listed on the screen.
  5. Terms & Conditions: Please read and accept an updated Terms and Conditions.

Important Steps: After the Makeover

Popmoney

  • Re-establish your Popmoney contacts, future-dated and recurring payments within Online Banking
  • Once you have re-established your Popmoney contacts, future-dated and recurring payments, the Popmoney service will resume as normal

Mobile App

  • All users will need to download a new Gate City Bank mobile app from the app stores

New Web Address

  • Our web address will be changing from gatecitybank.com to gatecity.bank

Online & Mobile Banking

  • The first time you log in to your Online or Mobile Banking, you will be asked to re-establish your password. Your User ID will remain the same.

New Online & Mobile Banking Features

  • The makeover will create a consistent look and experience across all devices (phone, tablet and desktop)
  • If you have personal and business accounts, they will now be accessible from the same login page. Personal and Business Online Banking will have the same look and feel
  • Transfer funds to friends, family or anyone with a Gate City Bank checking or savings account with Intrabank Transfers
  • Transfer funds between your accounts at Gate City Bank and other financial institutions with External Transfers
  • A new message center will allow you to securely send messages to Gate City Bank and view all your messages in one place
  • Turn your Gate City Bank ATM & Check Card "on" or "off," in addition to other card controls within Online & Mobile Banking
  • Instant person-to-person payments will now be available with Popmoney*
  • Online Statements and Notices will now be accessible through the Mobile App

A domain name is a technical term for a part of the website address that you type into the address bar on the top of your screen to navigate to a chosen website. In order to utilize .Bank, financial institutions must go through an authentication process to verify they are a bank.
