Gate City Bank recognized as a Champion of Affordable Housing
February 19, 2016
Gate City Bank is honored to be recognized as a Champion of Affordable Housing at the 25th Statewide Housing Conference presented by the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA).
NDHFA’s lender awards are based on promotion of NDHFA’s homeownership programs and participation in locally sponsored affordable housing projects and events. In addition to honoring the lending institutions that produce its loans, the individual loan officer that originated the most NDHFA loans at the lending institution was also recognized. This year Tammy Skogen, Bismarck, was recognized for having Gate City Bank’s highest production of NDHA’s loans in 2015.
“The Champion awards recognize and celebrate the work of individuals, non-profit organizations, public agencies, and private sector businesses that make exceptional affordable housing contributions in North Dakota.” said Jolene Kline, NDHFA executive director.
“As the top mortgage lender in North Dakota we are proud to be able to partner with NDHFA to provide affordable housing to our neighbors,” said Kevin J. Hanson, Executive Vice President-Director of Lending at Gate City Bank.
Since 1995, when the NDHFA began recognizing its housing partners with the Champion of Affordable Housing Awards, Gate City Bank has received the award a total of ten times – in 1995, 1996, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2007, 2009, 2012, 2013, and 2015.
