It sure is! The Gate City Bank mobile app uses multiple methods to guard against malicious access to your account information, including:

  • Login authentication to verify your identity via password-protected access, biometric or fingerprint scan or passcode entry (especially when attempting to access your account from a new device).
  • Account data and passwords aren’t stored on your mobile device.
  • Closing the app will end your mobile banking session to prevent unintentional data sharing.

Great question! You can simply download our mobile app from your mobile device’s app store. Once logged in, you can take advantage of the following:

  • Access Accounts: Easily view account balances and account history.
  • Pay Bills: Viewing and managing your bills is super simple.
  • Make Transfers: Transfer between your accounts, or to another Gate City Bank customer.
  • Find Locations: Locate the nearest Gate City Bank location or ATM.
  • Contact Us: Our team members look forward to assisting you!
  • Deposit Checks: Take a photo of the front and back of your check, and easily deposit it right from your mobile device.

Signing up is a breeze! Just follow these simple steps:

  • On the login screen, tap “Sign Up.”
  • Review the disclosure and tap “Accept.”
  • Complete your information and tap “Submit.”
  • Enter a user ID and password.
  • Complete the identity verification.
  • And that’s it!

Simply open our mobile app and navigate to “More,” and then “Hide/Show Accounts.” After you save your changes, pull down on the accounts screen to refresh the accounts list.

It’s easy! Simply select the desired account in the Gate City Bank mobile app and tap on the search icon at the top of the screen to look for the transaction you’re thinking of.

Absolutely! Simply tap on the transaction and select “Edit” to rename.

Note: When you rename a transaction, that change is only reflected in the mobile app. If you contact a bank team member with a question on a transaction, they will only be able to see the original name of the transaction.

Great question! Fast balances allow you to quickly access your financial information without logging in to the mobile app. Once you enable this feature in the “More” menu, your account balances will display on the “Fast Balances” screen, which can be accessed on the login screen.
